Request for Proposals
Alimagnet Park Playground Design
The City of Burnsville is requesting proposals from interested and qualified manufacturers and their product representatives for supplying and installing play equipment at Alimagnet Park, 1200 Alimagnet Parkway. The submitted proposal should be based on the supplying and installing playground equipment, container and resilient surfacing and be within the budget available.
Coventry Court Park Playground
The City of Burnsville is requesting proposals from interested and qualified manufacturers and their product representatives for supplying and installing play equipment at Coventry Court Park, 850 Springhill Drive. The submitted proposal should be based on your supplying and installing playground equipment, container and resilient surfacing and the retaining wall work as described in the RFP document and within the budget available.
Timeline for both projects: The City will require the projects to be completed between late summer 2023 and early spring 2024. If this timeline is an issue, please clearly note that in the proposal.

Please one hard copy and one electronic copy of the park proposal you are submitting for. Late submittals will not be accepted. Each proposal at a minimum should include an 8½" x 11" full color drawing of the playground and an 8½" x 11" bird's eye view of the layout. Any posters or foam core boards showing the layout must not exceed 24" x 36" in size. On any graphics you submit, please show only how the playground will fit into the designed container and do not include any hypothetical landscaping or other park features outside of the playground.
Submission Timeline: These copies are to be received at the offices of the City of Burnsville no later than 4 p.m. on May 11.

Purchasing Requirements
The City of Burnsville follows Minnesota State Statute in regard to bidding requirements for municipal contracts. The current statute states:
- Bid amounts of $175,000
- The City of Burnsville is required to use a formal, sealed and competitive bidding process per the State of Minnesota's Uniform Municipal contracting Law Chapter 471.345.
- Bid amounts of less than $175,000
- A formal bid is not required.
- Local governments must receive at least two quotes.
- City may still choose to use formal sealed and competitive bidding process at its discretion.
- Small Purchases
- City of Burnsville departments are authorized to make small purchases up to $4,999.
