Crystal Beach Closed Wednesday June 24 to Thursday June 25
Crystal Beach will be closed for 24 hours beginning Wednesday, June 24. The beach will re-open late Thursday morning. We apologize for the inconvenience – but it’s for an important reason!
Crews will be doing their annual treatment to prevent against the tiny invertebrates that cause an allergic reaction in some people called “swimmer’s itch.” Treatment will also be done to prevent certain types of algae and submerged plant growth along the beach, making the water in the swimming area clearer (and more pleasant for swimming)!
