Grow Burnsville aims to build a long-term solution to help the rising challenge of food inequity in our community by increasing opportunities for locally grown produce with high nutritional value and to enhance access to open space, youth involvement and physical activity for our most vulnerable residents.
Our Food Forest is as cool as it sounds — a low maintenance, open-to-all solution to help nourish those experiencing food challenges. Located across from City Hall in Civic Center Park, the forest was designed as a permaculture ecosystem to be sure to serve community need for years to come.

Grow Burnsville is off to a strong start thanks to a first place grant award of $125,000 from the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) and the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America (ABHFA) for their 2021 Childhood Obesity Prevention and Environmental Health and Sustainability Awards.
The Parks Frameworks Plan provides an opportunity to repurpose park space at Civic Center Park. The warming house and outdoor ice rink were slated to be removed sometime in 2021-2024 and we are able to combine the Frameworks Plan and Grow Burnsville to create a space to better serve our community
