The City is restoring a large section of Terrace Oaks Park. We're working on removing invasive plant species, restoring the native plant community, improving wildlife habitat and the health of existing oak trees. Learn more about the Oak Savanna Restoration.
Details
Terrace Oaks East Park provides access to natural trails for hiking/biking, various summer sporting activities, and a rec building/warming house and rink for winter hockey/ice skating. This neighborhood park also provides two play spaces including a unique nature play area.
The park also provides access to Terrace Oaks West Park.
Outdoor skating and warming house information
Mountain Bike Trails
Weather permitting, the mountain bike trails are open April 1 through Oct. 31. Trails may close during and following heavy rainfall as riding on wet trails does create significant short and long term damage.
Winter Ski Chalet
Weather permitting, Terrace Oaks Ski Chalet is open on weekends from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. December through February.
Nature Play Area
The Nature Play Area features natural elements that allow kids of all ages to climb, jump, build and explore. Features include painted animal tracks, tree cookies, climbing logs and rocks, building sticks and limestone block benches.
