The Burnsville Hockey Club and the Burnsville Minnesota Valley Figure Skating Club are volunteer organizations that use our facility as their address. Their volunteers change from year to year, so when calling for the respective Clubs please ask Ice Center staff for a Club representative that you can contact.
Skaters should be warm and comfortable. Dress in layers with mittens or gloves. Snow pants or warm up pants are helpful because they are water proof. Helmets are required for the Hockey Tracks classes and strongly recommended for the beginner classes.
Generally, any new skater 4 years or older can be in a Beginner or Hockey Tracks 1 class. If the skater is 3 years old, they can go into a P.A.L.S. class where a parent / guardian skates with them. If your child has had lessons before or has some skating experience, please call the coordinator at 952-895-4657 for an evaluation .
