9. How can I volunteer in the parks?

People interested in volunteering can do so through the Adopt-A-Park program. Adopt-A-Park is a public service program for volunteers who are interested in cleaning up Burnsville's parks. It is an excellent way for residents and organizations to make a personal contribution to the community.

10. Are there any off-leash dog parks?

Alimagnet Park has a seven-acre off-leash dog park that includes a walking trail, open grass area, picnic tables/shelters, benches, waste bags/trash containers and more. Alimagnet Dog Park can be accessed year-round. During warm weather months dog owners may use outdoor ice rinks at North River Hills, Northview, Paha Sapa, Red Oak, South River Hills, Terrace Oaks East, Timberland, Vista View, Highland Forest, and Knob Hill Park as an off-leash area. The rink gates must be kept closed and owners must clean up after their pets.

11. Are there any community gardens in Burnsville?

The City of Burnsville offers community gardens for Burnsville residents at Neill Park and Wolk Park. Plots are available for use from May through late October (weather permitting). The registration period for plots is February 1 - March 1. Details about the community gardens are posted on the Parks & Recreation page from mid-January through mid-March.
