The Grow Burnsville Market Garden produces over 3,000 pounds of produce every summer that is donated to local food shelves. Volunteers help plant, water, weed, and harvest fruits and vegetables in the gardens, ensuring the crops grow and are properly maintained. They may also assist with composting and garden upkeep to promote a healthy growing environment. Depending on the season, volunteers also assist with garden teardown in the fall or setup activities like planting seeds and setting up irrigation in the spring. No experience is needed—just a willingness to get involved and support our garden.
